HOW DO I USE MY DIGITICKET?

You will be emailed an order confirmation that will include your unique Booking Reference Number and a Barcode that also contains this number. You could make a note of this number and take with you when you visit the Wensleydale Railway where your email will be replaced by a valid ticket. If the ticket has reserved seating we will email you to advise seat numbers nearer the time.

DO YOU ISSUE REFUNDS?

No, we regret we are unable to issue refunds online but any refunds due will be made in line with our terms and conditions by emailing us at admin@wensleydalerailway.com or telephone us on 01677 425805

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I BUY A TICKET ONLINE?

On completion of your order you will be emailed a DigiTicket containing a barcode and booking reference number. Present this ticket on arrival or if you don’t have a printer simply make a note of the booking reference number.

I DON’T HAVE A PRINTER. WHAT DO I DO?

You do not have to print out the 8 digit booking reference – simply make a note of the Booking Reference Number and take it with you, coupled with some I.D. to help us quickly process your ticket when you arrive

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS & CARERS

Yes we do have wheelchair access but as this is a Heritage Railway with old coaches the access is limited. If you are unable to get out of your chair you would have to remain in the guard’s van which can be a little cold if the weather is not good. We have ramps at all stations to assist with getting on and off the train and then you will have the option to walk to the nearest seat, if you feel able,  which we would book for you as due to the nature of our trains, the aisles are unfortunately  not wide enough to fit  any type of mobility vehicle  . Please contact us if you have a disability and we will do our best to help you. Carers travel free of charge. We have disabled parking bays at all our stations.

CAN I HOP ON AND OFF?

Yes with a day ticket on any of our standard rail journeys you can get on and off at any of our stations. The timetable is on our website www.wensleydalerail.com.  For any other trains/events please contact the office

HOW DO I REDEEM GIFT VOUCHERS?

DOGS AND BIKES

Dogs are welcome on all our scheduled trains at a cost of £1.50 but they are not allowed on our special events trains where food is involved.

Bikes are carried free of charge as long as there is enough room

 

FACILITIES

There are toilets on most of our larger trains and there are toilet facilities at Leeming Bar, Bedale & Leyburn stations. We try to have a buffet car on all our trains but this is subject to volunteers being available. There is a café at Leeming Bar, Bedale & Leyburn

There are no toilets, shop or Railway Staff at Redmire Station. Please ring 01677 425805 for full details

CANCELLED SERVICES

Whilst we endeavour to have every train running on time we have to accept that the nature of a Heritage Railway with its aging train stock, may result in unforeseen breakdowns which are beyond our control. If this happens we will make every effort to keep you updated via our website and social media or if you have booked with us we will aim to contact you directly via your preferred contact information.
